Lightning delays were commonplace throughout Cleveland County on Friday, forcing lengthy delays in Shelby’s 51-29 victory over previously undefeated Stuart Cramer, as well as Burns’ 47-12 win over West Lincoln.

The final whistle blew at Shelby’s George Blanton Stadium shortly before 11 p.m. It was much the same in Lawndale, though Burns and West Lincoln shortened the second half to two 10-minute periods.
