PHILADELPHIA -- As the Phillies wrap up their regular season and prepare to take aim at a World Series title, an important player returned before Game 162. Trea Turner -- who is hitting a National League-best .305 -- was reinstated from the injured list on Sunday. Turner is in the lineup batting leadoff and playing shortstop against the Twins on Sunday.

Philadelphia would receive a significant boost having Turner back in the lineup when the postseason begins . Philadelphia won the National League East title and earned the No. 2 seed and a bye; it will play the winner of the Wild Card Series between the NL West champion Dodgers and either the Reds or Mets.

Right-hander Max Lazar was optioned to the rookie-level Florida Complex League Phillies in a corresponding move.
