The Bulldogs tumbled seven spots after their 24-21 loss to Alabama on Saturday. The Crimson Tide, which snapped Georgia 's nation's leading 33-game home winning streak after a week one loss to Florida State , is a spot behind Georgia at No. 11.
Georgia (3-1, 1-1 SEC) plays Kentucky (2-2, 0-2) Saturday at noon on ABC. The Wildcats are coming off a 35-13 loss at South Carolina.
Georgia responded from its loss at Alabama last year and won the SEC championship.
"The key is with the locker room, do you take the team in the right direction, the leadership, and say, 'OK, we know what we've got to work on, let's get better at it,'" Smart said.
