WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. - Firefighters from the Farrell Fire Department and Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department were called to two separate incidents late Saturday in Mercer County, helping the West Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department with a house fire after first being called to smoke spreading in a hotel.

Just before 8 p.m. Saturday, the Farrell Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department with an incident at the Park Inn by Radisson in Shenango Township. A problem with an overheated elevator motor created smoke in the hotel.

Shenango Township Volunteer Fire Department personnel, along with units from Farrell, East End Fire Department, and others, responded to call. Crews cleared the smoke, and all units were back in service in about 45
