Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked Pakistan as he congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning a record-extending 9th Asia Cup title. PM Modi reminded Pakistan that India prevailed during 'Operation Sindoor' as he drew parallels with the Indian team's on-field victory.

"Operation Sindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same - India wins! Congrats to our cricketers," read PM Modi's tweet.

Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy also took to X to applaud the fantastic knock from India's match-winner Tilak Varma. He scored 69 runs and Reddy called it 'Operation Tilak' on social media.

Meanwhile, ICC chief Jay Shah also posted on social media to congratulate the Indian team.
