FARGO — Morgan Russmann scored in the 16th minute, but it wasn't enough for the North Dakota State women's soccer team to halt a four-game skid Sunday.
Denver's two unanswered goals gave the Pioneers a 2-1 road win over the Bison in Summit League action at Dacotah Field.
Brooke Ahern put DU on the board in the 40th minute to notch the score at one. Emma Thielbahr later gave the Pioneers the lead in the 71st.
The fifth consecutive loss put NDSU at 4-8-0 on the season, including an 0-2-0 mark in conference play.
Denver finished with 21 shots to NDSU's 12. The Pioneers finished with a 9-6 edge in shots on target. Russmann finished with four shots.
NDSU visits South Dakota (5-2-4, 1-0-0 Summit) on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m.
