Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated India after they beat Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling Asia Cup final to win the trophy a record-extending ninth time. Modi mentioned Operation Sindoor in his post on X congratulating Suryakumar Yadav’s men soon after the conclusion of the match.

“#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers,” said Modi in his tweet. Tilak Varma finished unbeaten on 69 off 53 balls while Rinku Singh remarkably hit the winning runs with a four off the only ball he faced all tournament long as India managed to recover from a horror start and chased down a target of 147. Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav ’s four-wicket haul helped India bundle out Pakistan for just 146 runs.
