DETROIT -- On a day when the offense kept stubbing their toe and missing chances. It was the defense and special teams that carried the Detroit Lions to victory against the Cleveland Browns.
The Lions (3-1) beat the Browns (1-3), 34-10, back at Ford Field.
They did it while All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph and star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson were battling through obvious pain. They also lost cornerbacks Terrion Arnold (shoulder) and D.J. Reed (hamstring) to injuries in the second half.
Joseph had an interception, then returned after exiting with a knee injury. Hutchinson was slow to get up a couple of times. But he managed to make some serious noise. Hutchinson had eight pressures, two sacks and one forced fumble to lead the way on a strong defensive day.
The Lions have surrendered a touc
