Two of the last people to see Jay Slater before he disappeared last summer were the two men renting the Airbnb where the teen stayed the night before he went missing.

Jay, an apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, vanished during a holiday to Tenerife on June 17, 2024. It led to a huge search being launched for him, which sparked worldwide media coverage.

His body was discovered near the village of Masca on July 15, not far from his last known location, and a post-mortem examination found the teenager died of traumatic head injuries, consistent with a fall from height.
