AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas didn't have to play this week to move up in the Associated Press Top 25 amid chaos across the college football landscape, with four top-10 teams losing in a wild week.

With all the movement around them, the Longhorns were elevated one spot to No. 9. They'll take on unranked Florida in their Southeastern Conference opener at 2:30 p.m. CT, Saturday.

Penn State, Georgia, Louisiana State and Florida State all lost, and only the Nittany Lions stayed in the top 10. Oregon, previously the No. 6 team in the rankings, beat them 30-24 in overtime and moved up four spots to No. 2. Penn State fell four slots to No. 7. Ohio State remained No. 1 following a 24-6 road win over Washington.
