Calls for the Cleveland Browns to play their rookies intensified as Joe Flacco threw two interceptions in the first half against the Detroit Lions.

Veteran Flacco , who has started all four games in 2025, came out firing with the Browns offense and put the first points on the board at Ford Field.

But that good work was soon undone, and the 40-year-old quarterback was first picked by Kerby Joseph on a deep ball intended for Cedric Tillman late in the first quarter.

Cleveland then punted on their next two drives, before Flacco threw a second interception on a short pass to Jerry Jeudy with just under five minutes remaining in the half.

The first of his two picks was particularly poor, as there was not a single teammate anywhere close to it.
