DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Roderick James Jager, 25, of Detroit Lakes, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor domestic assault.
According to court records, Detroit Lakes police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Aug. 30. Upon entering the apartment, officers met Jager, who appeared intoxicated, and located the victim hiding in a locked bedroom. Jager admitted to an argument with the victim and claimed he threw a sweater at him. Officers discovered a bloodied sweater and a 4-inch pair of scissors, also stained with blood.
The victim reported feeling something sharp digging into his back during the attack, initially thinking it was fingernails, but later suspecting it might have been the scissors. Off
