A man has died aboard a luxury yacht on Sydney Harbour.
Police and paramedics were called to a welfare check on a two-masted sailboat docked in a bay near Mosman on Sunday evening amid concerns for the man, who hadn’t returned home after boarding the vessel days earlier.
The body of the 61-year-old man, who police say is local to the area, was found on the boat.
The vessel was later taken to the Police Marine Area Command base in Balmain. It will be examined police, who will also perform toxicology tests to help determine a cause of death.
Water police found the vessel with its sails furled and wrapped under a blue covering. Multiple ambulance crews, police cars, and a firetruck were stationed by Taronga Zoo Wharf.
