NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The headquarters for the Nashville Fire Department is moving this week amid renovations.

NFD announced Sunday that it will use a temporary facility located at 63 Hermitage Avenue "to allow for the construction of the new NFD Station 2 and NFD Headquarters."

"This temporary relocation ensures that the Nashville Fire Department can continue serving the community while creating the necessary space for the construction of a modern headquarters and fire station," said a press release from the department.

All in-person deliveries and other business will be made to that location through Monday, October 6, the department said in a Sunday press release. However, the department’s mailing address will remain P.O. Box 196332, Nashville, TN 37219.
