There’s theatrical — and then there’s Giuseppe Di Morabito. At Milan Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2026 showcase, his latest collection, The Fall of Icarus, wasn’t just fashion — it was poetry on a runway. The show opened under a glowing sun installation, crafted by artist Nick Verstand, casting a quiet heat over the space. But it was the final moment — a model lifting the “fallen” Icarus into the light — that left the audience holding its breath. Was it myth? Was it memory? Maybe both.
You could feel the personal threads woven into every piece. Porcelain corsets sculpted like ancient relics. Salt-crusted nylon tights that shimmered like coral reefs. Even hand-crocheted accents, made by Di Morabito’s own mother. It’s fashion, sure — but it’s also storytelling through sweat, salt and soul.
