LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Undefeated Lexington Sporting Club hosted Dallas Trinity on Friday night in a highly anticipated match-up. The Greens were going into the match undefeated, with Dallas sitting at number one in the standings.
LSC jumped out to a fast start, taking just nine minutes for the opening goal from forward Catherine Barry. Just 12 minutes later, the Greens went up 2-0 with Addie McCain finding the back of the net.
Dallas Trinity did get one back in the 24th minute, but after that moment, Lexington SC's squad did not take its foot off the gas. Barry, McCain, Emina Ekić, and Shea Moyer would all find the back of the net to complete the dominant performance at home. The Greens breezed by the number one team with a final score of 6-1.
