NORTH CAROLINA (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Governor Josh Stein traveled across western North Carolina this weekend to observe the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene and honor the lives lost during the devastating storm.
During his visit, Gov. Stein highlighted the progress made over the past year rebuilding the region's infrastructure and helping people and WNC small businesses. Stein continues to request the $13.5 billion in federal funding to help get western NC residents back on their feet.
