Two separate weekend shootings in Montgomery injured four people, police confirmed Sunday.
Lt. Ernestina McGriff, a spokesperson for the Montgomery Police Department, said that police responded to a call in reference to a person shot in the 5500 block of Atlanta Highway on Sept. 27. McGriff said the person had already been taken to a local hospital by the time police were contacted and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Later in the night — about 1 a.m. on Sept. 28 — McGriff said that police responded to another call in reference to people shot in the 2400 block of East South Boulevard. McGriff said that police on the scene made contact with one male and one female who suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds, and another female with non-life-threatening injuries.
