The city of Waterbury says it’s on track to repair a water main with the necessary parts they need for a fix. Those necessary parts are now in the city’s hands.

“It’s so difficult because you see the problem, the big problem,” Carmen Malabe of Waterbury said.

A problem she has been dealing with over the past few days, visiting her brother on Huntingdon Avenue in Waterbury. A water main break happened in front of his home, sending water out into the street and creating an unwanted spring.

“It was very scary with the problems but thank goodness they have water,” she said.
