Imphal, September 28 2025: Education must include teachings to inculcate good moral values in students, Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam has said.

The MLA said this during a programme held to felicitate National Teacher Awardee, Kangabam Machasana, Headmistress of Ghari Upper Primary School.

The felicitation programme was organised by the Keishampat Thiyam Leikai Chanura Chaokhat Thourang Lup at the local community hall.

Speaking at the event, Nishikant stressed on the importance of instilling good moral values among the students.

Without good moral values, academic degrees have no meaning, he said.

A person may earn many degrees.

But without good moral values, he or she will remain "uneducated," Nishikant said.
