Imphal, September 28 2025: The Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and the National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO) jointly observed the 25th Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day at Lamyanba Shanglen at Palace Compound, today.

The gathering observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives in defence of Manipur.

Addressing the function, AMKIL president Lourembam Nganbi emphasized that safeguarding Manipur requires a collective effort from all indigenous communities, not just the Meiteis.

She claimed that Manipur, having existed as a sovereign kingdom for thousands of years, has been subjected to divisive tactics by the Government postmerger with India, allegedly aiming to break the State apart.
