Imphal, September 28 2025: A 14 year old boy, reading in IX standard and belonging to an internally displaced family, was found hung to death at the bicycle shed of Jiribam Higher Secondary school this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Yurembam Angamba (14) s/o Romio of Lamtai Khunou, Borobekra sub-division, Jiribam district and he had been staying at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School relief camp after being evacuated from their Lamtai Khunou residence, sources said.

Notably, many houses at Lamtai Khunou including that of Angamba's family were burnt down by Kuki militants.

The tragic incident came to light early this morning.

Soon after getting information of the tragic incident, concerned State authority and a Jiribam Police team arrived at the relief camp.
