Iam a proud son of Toledo. I am a proud airman in the U.S. Air Force, where I have served nearly 15 years active duty, to include overseas tours to Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and South Korea. I am a proud husband to an Army veteran. I am also a proud transgender man.

But right now, I am ashamed that the House of Representatives politicized and passed the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, with six anti-LGBTQ amendments — most targeting trans people.
