Alabama football opened SEC play with a statement.

The Crimson Tide ended Georgia's home win streak at Sanford Stadium , beating the Bulldogs 24-21 . Alabama continued a streak of SEC opener wins that began in 2016. The Crimson Tide also continued its trend of wins against Georgia , winning 10 of its last 11 games against the Bulldogs and each of their last three meetings in Athens.

Alabama knows how to beat Georgia . And now, in the eyes of the college football world, the Crimson Tide is back on track.

Alabama landed at No. 11 in Week 6 of the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Crimson Tide remains behind teams such as No. 9 Indiana and No. 10 Georgia, and ahead of Iowa State , LSU and Texas Tech.
