An Indian-origin couple from Australia has apologised after a video of them kissing at a Garba pandal in Gujarat’s Vadodara sparked outrage online.

The now-viral video shows the couple engaging in the act while others can be seen in the vicinity. Several social media users described the video as “obscene” and argued that it violated the cultural and religious sanctity of the Navratri festival.

Soon after the video surfaced, calls for strict action against the couple, as well as the organisers, began circulating online.
