Bengaluru Police have arrested a domestic worker accused of stealing gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹35 lakh from a house in Miller Road under J.C. Nagar Police Station limits.
According to police, the complainant lodged a case on September 23, stating that on June 15, 2025, a housekeeper working at his residence had stolen 236.825 grams of gold and diamond jewellery. A theft case was subsequently registered at J.C. Nagar Police Station.
During the investigation, police acted on credible information and on September 25 apprehended the accused in the village of Nevada, Basti district, Uttar Pradesh. The stolen jewellery was also recovered from his possession.
Police said a total of 236 grams 825 milligrams of gold and diamond jewellery valued at ₹35,00,000 was seized. On interrogation,
