Two Boston police officers were injured in a crash in the South End Friday morning, police said.

At 4:02 a.m. the officers were involved in a motor vehicle crash at East Berkeley Street and Washington Street in the South End , according to Officer Mark Marron, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department .

The two officers sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment, Marron said.

A third person in a second vehicle was also injured and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Marron said.
