In a sustained and relentless crackdown against the menace of drug trafficking and the infrastructure supporting the illegal narcotics trade, Srinagar Police actively participated in the disposal of seized contraband and narcotic substances under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA) for the year 2025.

The disposal exercise took place at IGC Lassipora, Pulwama, and involved narcotics seized in connection with 49 FIRs registered under the NDPS Act in Srinagar. It was conducted in the presence of the members of Drug Disposal Committee, as per the provisions laid down in NDPS Act.

In total, approximately 1140 kilograms of seized narcotic substances were destroyed, including:144.47 kgs of Poppy Straw, 45.63 kgs of Ganja, 5.01 kgs of Charas, 0.93 kgs of Hero
