Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) witnessed one of its biggest unrest in recent years, as thousands took to the streets across the region in protest against the Shehbaz Sharif government. The Awami Action Committee (AAC) called the "shutter down wheel-jam" strike across several districts, forcing authorities to deploy heavy security and internet blackout.
" Ye jooto se manane wale hain, baato se nahi (They will only understand the language of shoes, not words)," said AAC leader Shoukat Nawaz Mir in his protest call.
The protests took place on Sunday in Mirpur, Kotli, Rawalakot, Neelum Valley, Keran, among others.
