A video showing nearly 10 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents allegedly chasing a food delivery worker in downtown Chicago has gone viral.

The clip, first shared by Christopher Sweat, co-founder and CEO of GrayStak Media, showed several ICE officers in tactical gear running after the man who appeared to escape. Sweat described the incident as having momentarily spiralled out of control.

According to him, the individual being pursued was a food delivery worker who made some “verbal comments but no physical or threatening contact” with the agents.

Sweat shared the footage with the caption: “EXCLUSIVE: Earlier today ICE agents chased after a man in downtown Chicago after he made verbal comments but no physical or threatening contact. The man was able to get away.”
