WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) -- Officials with Spirit Airlines confirmed they are ending service at Bradley International Airport to focus on stronger markets.

The airline will discontinue service from Hartford, beginning on October 31. It is also ending service out of Minneapolis on December 1.

"We apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience and will reach out to those with affected reservations to issue a refund. We thank our airport, business and community partners in Connecticut and Minnesota for their support over the years," a spokesperson with the airline said.

Officials with the airline added that they don't anticipate any additional airport exits in the near future.
