Tropical Storm Imelda is becoming better organized in the Atlantic Ocean, but it's path toward landfall could be blocked by Hurricane Humberto, according to the National Hurricane Center.

While neither storm is forecasted to make landfall in the United States, both will impact the weather on the East Coast.

What is the forecast for Tropical Storm Imelda?

As of 5 a.m. Sept. 29, the storm was 265 miles southeast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, with winds speeds of 50 mph, making it a tropical storm. It's moving north at 9 mph.

The system could briefly reach hurricane status by late Monday or Tuesday before weakening again. Forecasters are expecting the storm to continue northward until Hurricane Humberto erodes Imelda's ridge in Tuesday
