Arlane Joan (Hatton) Piner, age 90, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Arlane was born in Seattle, Washington on December 12, 1934 and was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lawrence Hatton and Johanna Ubaghs Hatton.

She attended the University of Washington where she met and married James, her husband of 70 years. Arlane was a devoted military wife, helping her husband build a distinguished military career, while caring for all of her family’s needs through countless moves and deployments. She was also an avid volunteer and enjoyed crocheting.
