VALPARAISO — Police say artificial intelligence was used to create some of the images of children engaged in sexual activities that were alleged found on electronic equipment in possession of a Burns Harbor man, who told investigators he is a military veteran, according to charging documents in the criminal case.

Timothy Olson, 36, reportedly admitted to seeing and sharing "questionable content" while using Kik Messenger and Snapchat, but denied being involved with child pornography, records show.

"Let me just say, this is some serious (expletive)," he reportedly said during questioning. "I would not like to talk about this anymore without a lawyer because this is serious (expletive)."
