LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — An early Monday morning shooting is being probed by the Lexington Police Department after an altercation ended in gunfire.

Around 3 a.m., LPD said officers were called to the 2400 block of Reims Road for a possible shooting.

At the scene, the police said they found one individual who had been injured. Their victims were not considered life-threatening.

After further investigation, the police learned the shooter and the victim knew one another and were fighting prior to the shooting.

The shooter is now in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. Their name has not been released at this time.
