The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking residents to help choose names for 24 snowplows across the state.

The contest follows hundreds of submissions from K–12 students , with top finalists now selected from each of ODOT ‘s eight field districts. Public voting is open from Sept. 29 through Oct. 3 at OkTraffic.org, and winners will be announced Oct. 10.

“ODOT crews work around the clock in winter storms to keep highways safe,” said Caitlyn Carolus , contest manager and ODOT traffic operations center program manager. “This contest is a fun way to connect students and families to that mission, while letting Oklahomans put their own stamp on the snowplows they see clearing roads in their communities.”
