The team of Kantara: Chapter 1 has cancelled their Chennai promotional event after a deadly stampede at a political rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu. At least 40 people died during the rally addressed by actor-turned-politician Vijay, shocking the nation.

Actor Gulshan Devaiah shared an official statement on Instagram, saying, “In view of the recent unfortunate incident, we have decided to cancel our Kantara: Chapter 1 promotional event scheduled in Chennai tomorrow. We believe this is a time for reflection and solidarity with those affected. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the families impacted.
