DES MOINES — The Iowa Department of Education's Bureau of Educational Examiners revoked Dr. Ian Roberts' license, Monday morning, following his arrest by ICE on Friday .

Michael Cavin, the Executive Director of the Board of Educational Examiners, explained that Dr. Roberts can no longer serve as a superintendent due to his alleged legal status.

Dr. Roberts has until October 28, 2025, to appeal this decision. He must submit a written letter of appeal detailing any factual or legal errors in the decision, along with any supporting documents.
