GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Anderson University officials have provided an update on a crash that left one student killed and others hurt on Sept. 26.
Troopers with Highway Patrol said around 5 p.m. on Friday, a Toyota 4Runner was heading north on White Horse Road when it tried to turn west onto SC 123. An 18-wheeler was heading south on White Horse Road and hit the 4Runner.
Officials said the 4Runner had five occupants who were taken to the hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Officials said a 19-year-old passenger in the Toyota, Shane Roberts McVey, passed away on Saturday. His cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death is accidental.
