SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A local Sioux Falls nonprofit is closing after seven years, due to struggling to secure long-term financial stability.

Sioux Falls Thrive, a nonprofit organization that combines assets from businesses and organizations in Sioux Falls to help create and shepherd programs that benefit the community, announced it will close operations effective Sept. 30.

In a news release, Sioux Falls Thrive said it "extends sincere gratitude to all partners, volunteers, and supporters who have contributed to this journey. The impact of the collaboration cultivated over these years will continue to inspire and inform ongoing efforts to improve the lives of Sioux Falls residents."
