A man accused of killing Eddie Lyons and Ross Monaghan 'fears for his life' if he is jailed over the shooting, a court has heard.
Michael Riley is accused of murdering the gangsters in Fuengirola, Spain, on May 31. The 44-year-old was arrested on an international arrest warrant by Merseyside Police on June 13 and is currently fighting an effort to extradite him to Spain, reports the Record.
Riley faces charges following the deaths of Eddie and Ross during the Champions League final. His solicitor explained to Westminster Magistrates' Court today that he believes his life will be in danger if he's sent to a Spanish prison.
