Calvin University’s second-year football program celebrated a milestone win on Saturday, as the Knights defeated Kalamazoo College, 24-16, for their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association victory in front of a homecoming crowd of 2,554 fans at Calvin Soccer Stadium.
After playing its inaugural season at Grand Rapids Christian High School, Calvin is holding its 2025 home games at the university’s new soccer stadium while its adjacent football venue is under construction.
Kalamazoo took an early 3-0 lead after ending its first drive with a 31-yard field goal from Saugatuck High School grad Cameron Lewis, but Calvin countered with a 28-yard field goal from Logan Nap (Lawton).
