ST. GEORGE — A kidnapping charge was dropped, but a St. George man accused of driving off with a juvenile earlier this year will serve seven months in jail before being deported, according to a ruling handed down last week.

On Sept. 18, 29-year-old Eugenio Fabian Hernando-Ramirez appeared for sentencing at 5th District Court in St. George on two charges: a second-degree felony of obstruction and a third-degree felony of failing to stop at the command of police.

Ramirez was originally charged with first-degree felony kidnapping and third-degree felony evading, as well as to two misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
