SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Light rain is possible Monday in the Northern California region amid below-average temperatures.
Meteorologist Tamara Berg said Monday's forecast high for downtown Sacramento is 74 degrees, similar to the 73 degrees recorded Sunday. The average for this time of year is 85 degrees.
In the Foothills, temperatures could peak in the upper 60s, while the Sierra may range in the low 60s.
Throughout the day, some showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Foothills and Sierra. In the Sacramento Valley, conditions are likely to be cloudy and mild with a limited shower chance.
Berg said the Valley may only see 0.05 inches of rain. The Foothills could see trace amounts to 0.15 inches. The Sierra may see up to a tenth of an inch of rain.
