HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Walk to End Alzheimer’s took place at Brickyard Park on Sunday.

Participants honored people impacted by the disease and showed solidarity in the fight against it by carrying flowers of different colors, signifying how they are connected to the disease.

The money raised during the event will go toward the care, support and research efforts of The Alzheimer’s Association.

There are more Alzheimer’s walks coming up with Grand Island’s taking place on October 5, and Kearney’s on October 12.
