Baked Goat Cheese from Rocca Pizzeria

I love goat cheese, and I usually just grab some plastic-wrapped goat cheese and pita crackers from Walmart to scratch the itch. But after visiting Rocca Pizzeria, it's become apparent that I've been playing the game wrong this whole time.

The server brought out this appetizer still sizzling from the oven. It was a hot bowl of goat cheese covered in red sauce with a little tower of focaccia next to it.

The creaminess of the cheese and the sweetness of the red sauce was just flat-out delicious. The texture was perfect for spreading across the focaccia, which was soft, salty and the perfect vessel for funneling cheese and red sauce.
