Even while he was on the run, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati was keeping an eye on the daily activities at the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management (SRISIIM) through CCTV cameras installed on the premises in New Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, police officers said.

A former chancellor of the institute – he was fired after the allegations against him came to the fore, Chaitanyananda was booked and arrested after 17 women accused him of molesting them.

On Monday, Delhi Police arrested Chaitanyananda’s aide from Uttarakhand for allegedly threatening the father of one of the victims.
