The bi-partisan group pushes back on language included in the 2026 FDA appropriations bill that they say would redefine what is considered “legal” hemp, which they claim would “deal a fatal blow to American farmers supplying the regulated hemp industry and small businesses, and jeopardize tens of billions of dollars in economic activity around the country,” according to the letter.
