RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — While Monday was not the ideal day for bike riding, students at Southeast Raleigh Elementary School now have a new set of wheels to use on a sunnier day.

Volunteers with Lenovo, Raleigh Brewing Company and Cand' Aid built bikes by hand for every first grader at the school. Each first grader went home Monday with not just a bike but also a helmet.

Lenovo encouraged students to be active even as we get into cooler months. The giveaway is part of the tech company’s global month of service.
