RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A fight broke out in the gymnasium at Sanderson High School in Raleigh as a pep rally took place Friday afternoon ahead of the school's homecoming football game.
School district officials confirmed the fight, and said an individual yelled "gun," causing some panic. However, no gun was located and no lockdowns were needed.
Sanderson is still set to take on the Cary Imps Friday night in their homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
